The IMECHE Steam Turbine and Generator User Group 2023 will be held in Manchester on March 15th and 16th, 2023.
Chirag Patel will be presenting “Overview of Stator Rewinds with an emphasis on 330H and 324 Units.”
This presentation will show the complete process of a stator rewind with an emphasis on 330H and 324 generators. It will include pre-outage data acquisition, pre and post bar removal inspection & testing, bar installation with associated testing, and auxiliary inspections including high voltage bushings. We will give real-world examples with accompanying photos that detail the complexity of a stator rewind. This presentation will also address stator bar replacement. Our team can reverse engineer your stator bars in order to lessen the downtime. Lastly, we will present recommended milestones for customer witnesses during the stator rewind process.
