I started in the power generation industry when I was 19 years old, mostly working on Westinghouse® steam turbine generators. For seven years, I did minor and major test and inspections, which included electrical testing and any maintenance that came with the inspection. I joined the Brush Turbogenerator team in 2011. Being with Brush gave me a vast understanding of many different OEM styles of generators. In 2019, I joined the MD&A team and am now a resident of Saint Louis, working at the Repairs facility.

I received my Engineering degree in NDE from the University of Maine’s College of Oceaneering. I was hired by GE® Nuclear in 1995 and worked in nuclear power plants for a few years. I then began working with the magic systems doing SITI generator inspections. Then went into the GS (Generator Specialist) Program in 2001 with GE®. I started at MD&A in 2007.

As an Electrical Engineer, I have over 35 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry. This experience was gained through design review, construction, operation and maintenance of power generating facilities. For 23 of these years I was employed by GE® in a wide range of positions involving installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of Power Generation systems and equipment. Upon my retirement from GE® in 2017, I joined MD&A as a Generator Specialist.

I started my career as a machinist trainee and worked my way up to a Jig and Fixture builder. During my career, I went to classes to learn CAD. The CAD classes, along with my tool building experience, allowed me to move to tool design engineering. Along the way I became interested in metrology, which is the study of measurement, specifically long range precision measurement equipment.
