I began my career with General Electric® (GE®) as a Gas Turbine Maintenance Mechanical Engineer. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of GE gas turbine fleets by executing, supervising, and troubleshooting maintenance activities, repairs, and installations.

I graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 2013 with a degree in Power Engineering Technology. I started my career as a Project Engineer, gaining experience in Gas Turbine Maintenance and Project Estimating. I joined MD&A in 2015, where I developed expertise in Steam Turbine-Generator Maintenance & Project Management.

After graduating from Maine Maritime Academy, I spent roughly two years working in operations at a coal-fired power facility. Upon leaving the operations side of the industry, I joined MD&A and completed our Engineer in Training (EIT) program, where I had the chance to learn and work on outages of varying steam turbine sizes and OEMs.

I grew up in northern Wyoming and received my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 2013. I began working with MD&A in 2014 as a steam turbine field engineer and worked in that role for 6-7 years until moving into vibration analysis. Last year, I received my Professional Engineer license in Machine Design and Materials.

I began my career as a mechanic in the military and then earned my engineering degree. After college, I worked for a large electric utility for 11 years in various roles, including performance testing, planning, production assurance, and system and program engineering. I joined MD&A in 2013, which has allowed me to focus on performance testing and steam path audits. 

After graduating from RIT with an Engineering degree, I began my career as a Steam Turbine Design Engineer at General Electric®. During my 18 years there, I performed a variety of assignments, from Factory Alignment Engineer and Product Design Engineer to Steam Delivery and Systems Engineer. I then joined the MD&A team to perform Topless Turbine Laser Alignment.

I worked for a utility for 23 ½ years then in 2000, I was hired on with MD&A. Since joining MD&A I have worked on Ansaldo, Alstom, BBC, GEC ALSTOM, Westinghouse, Siemens, Allis Chalmers, MAN, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi turbines. Whenever asked about my familiarity with a particular machine that I hadn’t worked with before, I would respond by saying, “No, but I embrace new experiences without hesitation.”
