Distortion Correction

Steam turbines, especially those used for cyclic operations, are subjected to enormous thermal stresses that can change the physical properties of the turbine alloys and result in distorted internal components, shells, casings, valves and even the turbine rotor. Distorted components can result in leakages, steam cutting, loss of efficiency and forced outages. MD&A Repairs Division provides proprietary distortion correction techniques and procedures to permanently address issues associated with out-of-round shells, nozzles and other critical steampath components.
