MD&A’s Gas Turbine Services project managers and technical directors are seasoned professionals with a broad range of experiences whose skill sets cover both common and unique makes and models of turbomachinery from around the world.

Our specialized services range from Combustion, Hot Gas Path, and Major Inspections, as well as, Compressor & Turbine Rotor Repairs to Plant Performance Testing and Analysis. MD&A Parts Division is a premier worldwide supplier of replacement new and refurbished gas capital and consumable parts.  MD&A Bearings, Seals, and Hydraulics Division specializes in gas turbine and generator bearings repairs, along with Rexroth® hydraulic actuators.

Our Gas Turbine Parts Service Facility called San Antonio Service Center, is an industry leader in gas turbine component repair and offers gas turbine parts such as 7FA parts, 7EA parts, and V class parts.  Our facility and team have leading-edge equipment and repair techniques with proven expertise on multiple frame gas turbine hot gas path and combustion components.

MD&A Fuel Nozzle Services is a worldwide leader in the repair and refurbishment of Multiple-Frame gas turbine fuel nozzles, including standard, Multi-Nozzle Quiet Combustor (MNQC) and Dry Low NOx System (DLN) 1.0, 2.0 and 2.6 for industrial and power generation customers.

Steam Turbines

For over three decades MD&A has proudly offered comprehensive refurbishment of steam turbine-generators.

Our MD&A Turbine-Generator Repair Facility centrally located in St. Louis, MO, includes steam path services, generator services, field machining, steam turbine valves, and a brand new high-speed balance facility.

We specialize in Stationary Component Repair and Rotating Component Repair, including Rotor Straightening and Casing Renovations.  Quality, attention to detail, and on-time delivery are the cornerstones of our success.

MD&A’s technical directors, project managers, alignment engineers, and all our Outage Services’ supporting divisions are available 24 hours a day. Qualified, experienced, knowledgeable experts; we employ seasoned professionals. Our mechanical engineers are specialists in turbine-generator engineering, thermodynamics analysis, steam path audits, distortion correction, Remaining Life & Finite Element Analysis, and the many diagnostic and engineering service disciplines.

Generator Repair & Services

MD&A provides comprehensive refurbishment & repair of large utility generator stators and fields, including high voltage bushing refurbishment and the complete rewinding of inner liquid-cooled generators.

Our turbine-generator repair facility centrally located in St. Louis, MO can accommodate generator field rewinds of any capacity, including large 4-pole nuclear units.  Our generator experts can also perform a stator rewind on-site.

Through years of power generation industry experience, our generator repair specialists conduct full-scope electrical testing, visual inspections, and specialty tests as per customer requirements.

Our generator in-situ inspection robot, MD&A’s Air Gap-Bot, can perform full generator inspections without removing the field, saving time on the outage.

We invest heavily in the development of people, procedures and principle which facilitate improvements in design, reliability, and performance.  Our generator experts designed many solutions to numerous aging fleet issues; for example, 7FH2 generator spring migration repair and dusting on 7FH2 & 324 stator end winding systems.
