Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.


The Parts Division is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. In this role you will be tasked with achieving a state of high-quality performance in a very high mix, low volume purchased components environment at our supplier partners through the application, practice and hands on implementation of continuous improvement principles.


Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Participate in the Supplier Sourcing Process.
  • Develop, document and implement internal and external supplier quality systems that align with existing corporate policies and procedures.
  • Quality engineering capability assessments of potential new suppliers.
  • Core member of NPI project teams.
  • Lead efforts to implement advanced material part tracing and lot control practices with an ERP system.
  • Acts as a champion to drive continuous improvement plan development, execution, monitoring and control into the supply chain.
  • Manage process, documentation and resolution of supplier SNCR, SDR and other related items.
  • Own part incoming inspection process, data collection and related communications.
  • Influence positive organizational change with internal functions and external partners by applying technical and soft skills as a seasoned professional.
  • During peak times assist warehouse staff with receiving, stocking and shipping of purchased components.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments of moderate complexity where analysis of situations/data requires evaluation of new factors.
  • Works on assignments of moderate scope and with accountability for functional impact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements: 

  • Reports to GM Supply Chain.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; mechanical, industrial, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 or more years of related work experience; experience within a manufacturing, machining or other high-tech production environment, with Power Generation experience being highly desirable.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to cover a diverse technical waterfront while working with multiple audiences and stakeholders.
  • Well versed in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a very dynamic environment.
  • Track record of fostering constructive working relationships with suppliers.
  • Ability to travel 25% of time both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
