Location: San Antonio, TX
Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis, LLC (MD&A) a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for technically challenging work.
MD&A is seeking a Quality Manager in our Industrial Gas Turbine Parts Manufacturing and Repair operations located in San Antonio, TX. This position reports to the Division General Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaborate with the leadership and engineering teams to set quality standards through benchmarking, continuous improvement systems and tools, and setting key performance indicators within operations
- Create standards in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations
- Execute quality checks/tests to ensure final product adherence to the company standards
- Record findings and relay this information to the appropriate team members
- Brainstorm ideas to increase productivity and performance of the production line while maintaining accuracy in quality
- Partner with vendors performing specialty work, such as Chemical stripping and other outsourced processes to ensure vendors are meeting set quality standards
- Implement critical quality programs and make crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without compromising on quality
- Oversee and direct inspection production employee(s) to ensure conformity in final product processing, meeting customers’ delivery expectations
- Maintain Auditing and Calibration system IAW ISO Quality standards, ensuring compliance with Quality requirements
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related area of study with at least 4 years of quality management, quality engineering, or related experience in a production processing environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industry quality standards and processes
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of chemical stripping of gas turbine parts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Expert in leading, partnering, and positively influencing all levels of an organization through quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong skill set in data, analytics, and problem-solving
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
