MD&A has been providing steampath repair services for more than two decades. Our engineers make repair recommendations based upon the owner’s intended operating plans for the unit. We maintain a staff of experienced full-time steampath engineers who specialize in the engineered repair of stationary and rotating components.

Turbine Consultants® provides a complete array of proprietary distortion correction services to straighten bowed steam turbine rotors. Rotor straightening repair projects are typically performed at MD&A's St Louis Turbine-Generator Repair Facility. Many casing and shell renovation methods are largely cosmetic and require continual rework which reduces reliability and lengthens subsequent outage schedules. Turbine Consultants® also co-developed a software package at EPRI's request for use by their member utilities. This program, called Turbine Casing Advisor, allows users to evaluate minor casing cracking and distortion problems on their own. TCI can perform this analysis at client request. We offer a full array of engineering and repair services which determine the root cause of casing/shell failure.
