Our divisions repair and refurbish a variety of steam turbine components such as high pressure valves, MHC operating governors and other hydraulic components. We offer several engineered solutions that address inherent OEM design issues such as those associated with horizontal throttle valves.

  • High Pressure Valve Repair

    MD&A provides inspection, repair, restoration and upgrades of industrial and utility high-pressure valves and valve components. We provide re-engineering and manufacturing of valves from various manufacturers and address historic design-flaws that incorporate upgraded materials to eliminate the need for re-work. All our valve work comes with a minimum one-year guarantee.

  • Westinghouse Horizontal Throttle Valves

    MD&A/Turbine Consultants provides restoration and upgrade services designed to address inherent design weaknesses associated with Westinghouse horizontal throttle valves as identified by through Finite Element Analysis and field renovation work.

  • Steam Seal Regulator

    Renwal Parts Maintenance provides complete refurbishment of steam seal regulators. All repairs are verified by functional testing and calibration. We offer and extensive inventory of pressure bellows, high pressure steams, seats and piston rings. Short cyle delivery is available upon request.

  • MHC Operating Governor

    Central load dispatch centers and modern DCS plant controls have placed new demands on turbine MHC governor and hydraulic control device response. RPM provides functional testing of MHC operating governors to greatly reduce the need for field adjustments during start up and eliminate variables when troubleshooting operational issues such as bobble, hunting and non linear response. We offer an extensive inventory of pilot valves, worm gears and other specialty parts, incremental upgrades or programmable replacements. We also offer performance monitoring diagnostic instrumentation and short cycle delivery.
