The refurbishment of turbine bearings for heavy rotating equipment and turbo machinery is an important aspect of any turbine or generator outage. We specialize in providing clients with new and refurbished tapered land, tilting and elliptical turbine bearings as well as various ancillary bearing components such as new generator hydrogen seals.

  • Tapered Land Thrust

    Trouble shooting the source of differential thrust bearing temperatures can be frustrating and costly especially if load reduction action is required.  RPM has earned the trust of many customers to design, manufacture and repair tapered land thrust bearings since 1984. We offer profiling of fixtures, material upgrades and performance monitoring instrumentation. Short cycle delivery is also available as needed.

  • Elliptical Journal

    The list of potential conditions contributing to unstable rotor vibration trends can be endless. RPM has helped many customers eliminate the undesirable effects of oil whip or steam whirl by designing, manufacturing and repairing elliptical bearings.   • Tilt Pad Thrust

    Trouble shooting the source of differential thrust bearing temperatures can be frustrating and costly especially if load reduction action is required. A tilt pad thrust bearing retrofit can be a cost effective solution when sole plate settling or other foundation changes have created an undesirable alignment condition. We offer predictable bump check shim sizing and complete assembly (leveling links, base rings, pivot buttons) reconditioning. Client options also include material upgrades and performance monitoring instrumentation as well as short cycle delivery.

  • Tilt Pad Journal

  • Insulated Bearing Rings

    Improper isolation of stray shaft currents can result in immediate and long term operational issues. RPM offers complete reconditioning of insulated bearing rings to reduce the possibility of electrolysis as a result of grounding.   • Bronze Seal Rings

    Improper oil seal clearances can result in immediate and long term operational issues. RPM offers bronze seal ring manufacturing to assure our customers the long term integrity of a tight oil sealing system without the immediate anxiety of a rub induced vibration during start up.
